Does JPG to PNG upload my image?
No. The browser image kernel reads the selected file locally and creates the download in your tab.
Does this preserve animation?
No. Browser canvas conversion writes a still image from the decoded frame, not a multi-frame animation.
Why can PNG conversion fail on some browsers?
The route only returns a file when the browser can encode the requested image format. Unsupported encoders are rejected instead of mislabeled.
